DIGITAL X-RAY ANALYSIS

Our doctors are trained spinal biomechanical Engineering. Our doctors use specialized software to measure each vertebrae and then measure angles and distances to determine your alignment compared to normal patterns. This way, our doctors have a road map of how to correct your misalignment and restore proper funtion.

CUTTING EDGE POSTURAL EXERCISES

Our doctors found that typical physical therapy exercises are not very effective in improving posture and and correcting body biomechanics. A large part of what is being missed is incorporating the brain into how the muscles fire. When we incorporate the brain to teach the muscles how to fire using biofeedback, a patient can learn much quicker how to hold their posture compared to standard physical therapy strengthening exercises. Rather than focusing on strength, we focus on motor control. Our doctors were unable to find any equipment that could incorporate the brain properly, so they developed their own postural training equipment. This equipment is currently being researched at Brigham Young University in the Exercise Science Department.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage therapy does more than make you feel good, it can actually help your body achieve balance and health by reducing muscle tension and improving soft tissue circulation. Massage therapy offers a natural treatment approach which actually relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our chiropractic clinic provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is complimentary to their chiropractic care. Each therapeutic massage plan is tailored to meet the patient’s unique condition or injury.

DECOMPRESSION THERAPY

Spinal Decompression can be very helpful for disc problems in the neck and lower back. Spinal decompression gently stretches the neck or lower back in order to separate the vertebrae around bulging and herniated discs, thus creating a negative pressure in order to draw the disc material back into the disc.

MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE

Medical Acupuncture helps to restore physiological homeostasis, and maximize healing of the injured or inflamed tissue by balancing the body’s meridians. Through the stimulation of key acupuncture points and meridians the body can begin to heal the effected tissue, reducing pain and improving function.

FREQUENCY SPECIFIC MICROCURRENT

Frequency Specific Microcurrent is a new system of treatment using microamperage current and the resonance effects of frequencies on tissues and conditions to create beneficial changes in symptoms and health. This new refinement of microcurrent technology – tiny “doses” of electrical energy – uses very specific frequencies of energy applied to the body in sequence. Frequencies are determined by the specific type of tissue that is injured.

COLD LASER THERAPY

Cold Laser Therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and is thought to help accelerate the healing process. It can be used on patients who suffer from a variety of acute and chronic conditions in order to help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (Acoustic Wave Therapy)

Extracorporeal ShockWave Therapy (ESWT) is the application of high energy pressure waves through the skin to accelerate the healing process, reduce pain and promote tissue repair. Shock wave therapy is based on the principles of mechanotransduction. Shockwave Therapy mechanotransduction pathways increase cellular growth factors, activates stem cells, improve blood circulation and improve lymphatic drainage and anti-inflammatory cytokines in tendons, ligaments, bones, muscles, skin and endothelial cells. Shockwave treatment is a relatively new technology and can significantly reduce or eliminate chronic pain and related symptoms. It has been a treatment in sports medicine for over 10 years and has been the focus of many clinical studies.

What conditions does Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy treat?

  • Neck & Back Pain: Chronic ligament strains/sprains, facet joint pain osteoarthritis

  • Shoulder pain: frozen shoulder, rotator cuff or biceps tendinitis, bursitis, osteoarthritis

  • Elbow pain: tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendonitis, repetitive strain, osteoarthritisarthropathy

  • Hand/Wrist Pain: Tendonitis of the hand/thumb/wrist, osteoarthtitis/arthropathy

  • Hip pain: trochanteric bursitis, hip sprain or tendonitis, osteoarthritis/arthropathy

  • Knee pain: osteoarthritis, torn meniscus, patellar tendinopathy, shin splints

  • Ankle & foot pain: plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma, chronic instability of the ankle/foot, calcaneal heel spurs and achilles tendonitis, osteoarthritis/arthropathy

  • Myofascial pain: trigger points

PROLOZONE/OZONE INJECTIONS

Prolotherapy/Prolozone Therapy an excellent procedure to be utilized after achieving a proper diagnosis from the patient history, physical examination and appropriate diagnostic tests such as x-rays, diagnostic ultrasound, NCV tests, CT and MRI scans,

It is a non-surgical injection procedure used to relieve pain by treating injuries such as chronic sprains and strains (ligaments and tendons) and arthritic or degenerative conditions of the musculoskeletal system.

The injections promote a healing response with the goal of alleviating chronic pain and improving function by increasing cellular growth factors, activating stem cells, improving blood circulation and anti-inflammatory cytokines in tendon and ligament connective tissue. Painful Trigger Points may also be injected to relieve pain.

Prolotherapy/Prolozone Therapy Needle Guided Diagnostic Ultrasound

As shown above, the procedure is performed with needle guided diagnostic ultrasound injections with combinations of homeopathics and Ozone (O3) into the area of the degenerated or injured musculoskeletal tissue.
